“24 For he has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, and he has not hidden his face from him, but has heard when he cried to him.”
Oh, that we would see this truth this morning! God has heard those who have cried out to Him! God cannot lie. He does not change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He has always heard those who cry out to Him, and He will never stop hearing them until kingdom come! We are broken human beings in a broken world, but we serve a God who is perfectly whole. Cry out to Him this morning! We both know that there are things you require help with. God already knows them. He has the answer for them! The healing salve is waiting and at the ready.
There is no need to overthink something so simple! God has not hidden His face! He is right here, ready, willing, and able to hear the call of the afflicted. God has never looked at the weak or lowly and despised or rejected or hated them. He has always been a God of perfect and pure compassion and mercy. What more could you ask for? Why would you hold on to weights you were never meant to carry? His shoulders are broad enough to hold the weight that crushes you. Why not give it over to Him this morning? Why not end your suffering by putting your life in the hands of Almighty God? He will not turn you away. Even when He answers no to your prayer, it is in love, knowing what is the absolute best for you. Fall on your knees and cry out to the gracious God who looks at you with love.
